Our kids, and their faith journeys, are very important to us. We want them to grow in their relationship with a God who is gracious, loving, inclusive. And so in all we do – be it Sunday School classes, Super Sundays, Wacky Wednesdays in July, Our Whole Life human sexuality curriculum or our confirmation process, our primary goal is to ensure that our kids know God loves them and the world they inhabit.

Sunday School – Each Sunday morning our kids study the lectionary text assigned for the week in their classes which is the same text that is the focus of our Sunday worship.

Super Sundays –Our monthly gathering at Cahoots Coffee Café provides our kids with a fun time of playing games, learning songs, doing crafts and participating in outreach to our community through activities like performing their Christmas play for the residents of Cameron Woods.

Wacky Wednesdays – Every Wednesday in July, we gather at Ball Lake and enjoy games, stories, crafts, trying a new Freaky Fruit each week and of course swimming!  There is always an environmental component as well, when our kids learn the importance of caring for God’s good creation.

Our Whole Life – Our award-winning human sexuality curriculum helps our kids understand their own sexuality and their relationship with others through fun and engaging activities. For more information on this program, please visit the Our Whole Life official UCC page.

Confirmation – A year-long study for our middle school youth, Confirmation Class includes trips to our UCC’s headquarters in Cleveland, our advocacy office in Washington, D.C. and anti-racism and justice work at the UCC’s Franklinton Center in Whitakers, N.C. as well as weekly classes on biblical themes and the life and ministry of Jesus.
