“Never place a period where God has placed a comma.” – Gracie Allen

God is still speaking!

God didn’t stop talking to us at the end of the Bible. God has more to say…are you listening?

The United Church of Christ balances religious traditions with new ideas. Our faith is more than 2,000 years old. Our thinking is NOT.

No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here in the UCC.

We at First Congregational United Church of Christ have been in the Angola community for over 150 years. Our church has historically been an agent for social change in Steuben County, and that continues today with our missions to discuss important issues from racism to immigration, to study the Bible, and be in conversation with our faith to determine where to be Christ’s hands and feet in the community, to always be learning, always be praying, always be looking for ways to deepen our faith and improve the lives of those we wish to serve. We are on the path that Christ walked, and though we sometimes stumble, we endeavor to keep walking.

We share the values of the United Church of Christ, a denomination that is nearly 1 million people strong. A church of firsts. A place where Christ’s ministry to the marginalized is highly valued. Learn more about our denomination, click here.
