This year the pastoral team welcomes you to explore and claim your faith. Throughout Lent, we will be working to unpack the twisted faith some of us have grown up with and are trying to untangle.

Our Lenten theme is “Twisted Faith.” Following Ash Wednesday service, we will offer a series of special services every Thursday of Lent, at 6 pm, we will explore the ways in which Scripture has been twisted into a weapon and instrument of abuse. Our weekly themes cover the use of Scripture to uphold slavery, support colonial violence against indigenous peoples, degrade and marginalize queer folks, pillage Creation, and oppress women. Our services will end always with the good news of the Gospel, offering a redeemed reading of the twisted Scripture we may have inherited through family, society, or religious tradition.
