All are invited to join us for a Transgender Day of Remembrance prayer vigil on Thursday, November 20, from 6 – 8 pm.

On this day (and every day), we grieve the rhetoric and violence that cuts life short for far too many of our trans family members, friends, and neighbors. And on this day (and every day) we celebrate the authenticity of trans identities and declare trans folks beloved children of God.

Volunteers from our congregation will form a chain of continuous prayer for the full two hours of our vigil, praying in the quiet stillness of our chapel. The rest of us will be assembled outside, lighting candles, sharing stories, offering prayers of our own, and giving thanks for the breathtaking beauty and diversity of the human family.
