On Sunday, Nov. 3 we voted to call the Rev. Nicole Shaw to be our next settled pastor. Pastor Nikki accepted our call, so now we will move together into our next exciting era!
It was an exciting day. Pastor Nikki led us in worship. We then held a Congregational Meeting and vote while Nikki and her family anxiously waited in Fellowship Hall. After that, we all anxiously waited while Nikki was asked to accept our call as our next pastor, which she accepted. To end the day, we all celebrated with cake in Fellowship Hall.
Pastor Nikki’s first Sunday will be January 12. In the interim, the Rev. John Gardner will continue to lead us through the Advent season. The pastoral search committee is grateful for all the support we received during this search process. You all told us to not settle. We listened to you, and we did not settle. We searched until we found the person who was right for “that church”. We could not be more excited about our next exciting chapter.
